Shauna M. Albright-Austin, Esq.
I am honored and humbled to be elected as President of the Richard T. Fields Bar Association Foundation. The Richard T. Fields Bar Association Foundation is a 501(c) (3) charitable organization. Our primary goal is to raise funds to award scholarships to college and law students each year.
As I start my tenure, I would like to applaud and recognize the Foundation’s past presidents, board members and donors for their undying support.
Together, we continue to grow the Foundation’s mission of raising funds to provide scholarships to students each year. We continue to make a difference in the lives of others. All of us involved in helping with this mission should be proud.
As President, I look forward to building on the successes we have already achieved. Over the past three years alone, the Foundation has awarded $15,000 in scholarships to college and law students. Each year, we have been able to award more scholarships than the year before through fundraising efforts and from the generous donations of our donors. Our goal is to award over $15,000 in scholarships in 2020 alone. I am inspired to help lead the Foundation in reaching its goal. I welcome the opportunity to further build long lasting relationships with members of the community, leaders and organizations who share in the same vision.
There are exciting events slated for the 2019-2020 year. I will share more throughout year. For now, I welcome the members of the community to join us on November 4, 2019 as the Judicial Appointments Secretary to Governor Newsom, Justice Martin Jenkins joins us for a “Meet and Greet” at The Box in downtown Riverside.
In closing, I look forward to your continued support during my tenure.
